Royston Priory Gardens
9:45-10:45
Every Tuesday (term time only)
Ideal for ages 2-5 yrs
We start our session with captivating storytelling, encouraging the children to share their ideas, knowledge, and 'what will happen next'. Activities are then linked to this story as children explore loose parts to create their own Story Meadow world and natural arts and crafts available for the session.
Set in the beautiful Priory Gardens in Royston (under the huge tree near the war memorial), sessions are calming, creative and inspire play long after the session ends!
'The children loved it and talked about it all day' - Childminder
Children are encouraged to use natural materials to create small worlds from our stories. Some recreate the story, while others explore at their own pace. It's wonderful to watch their creativity and interaction with our natural setting. We use twine to make miniature rope swings, explore pulleys with wooden buckets, and build small homes for our characters.
Arts and crafts are also available during each session. Children may dip into these if they wish and have fun creating with tactile materials. Previous crafts include: painting with mud (it's not as messy as it sounds!), drawing on wooden slices, and natural easter eggs.
Book on today and join us for the next one. We can't wait to meet you!
